About Braddock Hills

Braddock Hills is an Allegheny County borough about eight miles east of downtown Pittsburgh, but its local story reaches back before the suburb. Brinton Road follows an older Indigenous trail, and the borough sits northwest of Braddock’s Field, where General Edward Braddock was defeated in 1755. The Hannatown section once had a one-room schoolhouse that grew into Braddock Hills Elementary, while today the borough is in the Woodland Hills School District. Braddock Hills is Pittsburgh-edge Pennsylvania with old trails under modern roads, colonial-era battle history, school memories, and borough streets climbing above the surrounding valleys.
