About Bradford

Bradford’s 1860s Town Hall stands on West Main Street with timbers reused from an earlier meeting house, and it has served as the center of town government and civic affairs since its construction. The building’s continued use makes the village center easy to understand: select-board, planning, zoning, and other public meetings still gather there, and the hall remains listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Around it, Bradford’s town structure is spread across a traditional New Hampshire set of roads, local boards, and community buildings.

Brown Memorial Library gives residents a second regular meeting place just down West Main Street. Its collection includes New Hampshire and Bradford titles as well as children’s books, large-print works, audiobooks, and other media. Parks and Recreation works with town departments and local groups on community events and fundraising, while the highway department, transfer station, police, fire, and rescue services handle the practical side of town life. Bradford’s local pattern is visible in the way the historic hall still carries both formal government and ordinary local gatherings.
