Branson, MO

Branson is a famous resort city set in the Ozark Mountains of Taney and Stone counties, Missouri. Named after Reuben Branson, a local postmaster in the 1880s, the community of approximately 12,800 is a major destination for family-oriented tourism. The surrounding landscape features extensive waterways, including Lake Taneycomo and Table Rock Lake, which were created by the construction of the Powersite and Table Rock dams along the White River.
