Brawley, CA

Brawley is an Imperial County city in the Imperial Valley, deep in the Colorado Desert and tied closely to year-round agriculture. It is one of the valley's larger communities, with Pioneers Memorial Hospital, local clinics, schools, and farm-related business playing major roles. Brawley is also known for the annual Cattle Call Rodeo, which fits the region's ranching and agricultural culture. The city feels very different from coastal California: hotter, flatter, more agricultural, and more connected to desert work than to tourism or tech.
