Breckenridge, CO

Breckenridge is a high-elevation mountain town and the county seat of Summit County, sitting at about 9,601 feet in the Colorado Rockies. Its early civic story goes back to the mining era, including an 1860 post office that was among the first U.S. post offices west of the Continental Divide. Today Breckenridge is just as strongly associated with skiing, historic Main Street, summer trail use, and the steady rhythm of visitors who come for mountain scenery as much as for the town itself.
