Bremond, TX

Bremond is a Robertson County city in central Texas, with 858 residents in the 2020 census. It sits ten miles east of the Brazos River at the junction of State Highway 14 and Farm Roads 46, 2413, 2954, and 2293. The city’s map still carries the railroad-town logic: highways meet in the middle, fields run toward the Brazos, and the school, churches, and businesses serve a wide rural area. Bremond lies in the Bryan–College Station metropolitan area but keeps a distinctly small-town scale.

The first train reached Bremond on June 15, 1870, and the city incorporated that August. The town was named for railroad builder Paul Bremond, whose land and rail interests helped shape the site. Polish immigrants arrived in the 1870s and built a Catholic church in 1878; that heritage remains part of the community’s public calendar for generations.
