Brisbin, PA

Brisbin is a small, quiet borough tucked into southeastern Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, sitting right alongside neighboring Houtzdale. The community traces its roots back to the mid-1800s, named after early settler George Brisbin, who established a local sawmill. Like much of the surrounding Moshannon Valley, the area took off during the late nineteenth-century timber and coal boom once the railroad arrived, drawing in families who built a close-knit town.
