About Brooklawn
Brooklawn is a Camden County borough incorporated in 1924 and reincorporated in 1926 from parts of Centre Township. It sits in South Jersey's Delaware River and Big Timber Creek watershed, with Gloucester City, Westville, Bellmawr, and Mount Ephraim around it. Alice Costello School handles pre-K through eighth grade; older students attend Gloucester City High School through a sending relationship, giving the small borough a school map that extends into a neighboring municipality. The borough's name comes from its setting, and its local story includes Noreg Village, housing once built for shipyard workers. Brooklawn is a compact South Jersey borough where school, river, and shipyard history meet.
