Brookmont, MD

Brookmont is an unincorporated Montgomery County community along the Potomac River, just outside Washington, D.C. Its compact one-mile loop once served as a velodrome for local bicyclists, a wonderfully specific detail for a place now known more as a close-in residential enclave. Brookmont's appeal comes from the mix of river proximity, wooded streets, and quick access to the District, with the C&O Canal and other Potomac-side recreation nearby.
