About Brookside

Brookside is a quiet, tiny community tucked along the southern edge of Cañon City on Highway 115. Home to around 250 residents, it sits in the sunny foothills above the Arkansas River valley. Founded as a coal mining camp in the late 1800s, the town has since evolved into a calm residential enclave with wide views of the surrounding hills and a relaxed pace.
