Brookside is a census-designated place in New Castle County, Delaware, near Newark and the busy suburban corridor between Wilmington and Elkton. It is mostly residential, with schools, shopping centers, apartments, and single-family neighborhoods doing the work of everyday life. Christina School District serves area public schools, and nearby highways make Brookside practical for commuting to Newark, Wilmington, or northern Delaware job centers.
