About Brownsboro Farm

Brownsboro Farm is a home-rule city in northeastern Jefferson County, sitting between Barbourmeade and Louisville. It was incorporated in 1966 as a sixth-class city, one of the small independent municipalities that formed along the Louisville edge. The city still has its own mayor and four-member commission, a community center and pool, and a local Gazette. Interstate 71 forms the northern boundary and Brownsboro Road the southern one, so the name makes sense on a map: Brownsboro Farm is a separate little city in the old Brownsboro corridor, surrounded by Louisville on all other sides.
