About Brunswick

Brunswick is a city and the county seat of Glynn County, Georgia, situated on the southeast coast as the second-largest urban area on the Georgia coastline after Savannah. Named after the German Duchy of Brunswick-Lüneburg and incorporated in 1856, the city of approximately 15,300 served in World War II as a base for escort blimps and a shipbuilding site for the U.S. Maritime Commission. Brunswick is home to the College of Coastal Georgia, enrolling over 3,000 students, and the Brunswick Old Town Historic District.
