Bucks Lake is a small Plumas County census-designated place on the south shore of the lake of the same name. The area began as a ranch established by Horace Bucklin and Francis Walker in 1850, and the lake setting still defines the community. Bucks Lake sits west-southwest of Quincy and is tied to the Feather River country, mountain cabins, fishing, boating, and seasonal recreation.
