Bunker Hill Village is one of the Memorial Villages on the west side of Houston, a small city with a strongly residential character. Before incorporation, German farmers settled the area and built sawmills to process local lumber, a reminder that this now-affluent enclave began outside the urban Houston landscape. Today the city is closely tied to Spring Branch Independent School District and the broader Memorial area.
