Burns Harbor is a town in Westchester Township, Porter County, Indiana, situated along the shores of Lake Michigan within the Chicago metropolitan area. Founded in 1966 adjacent to the Indiana Dunes and named after promoter Randall W. Burns, the industrial port town of approximately 2,155 is served by the Duneland School Corporation locally.
