About Butler
Butler is a Morris County borough along the Pequannock River, in northern New Jersey's older industrial and commuter belt. The area was once known as West Bloomingdale before becoming Butler, and the old railroad station now serves as the Borough Museum. That gives the town a clear local-history marker without making it feel frozen in time. Butler feels compact and practical, with river valley terrain, older homes, small businesses, and easy connections to the larger Route 23 and Morris-Passaic region.
