Byers is a quiet rural town in northern Clay County, home to roughly 450 residents. Located near the Oklahoma border close to where the Red and Wichita rivers meet, it offers wide-open Texas countryside and a relaxed pace of life. For bigger-city amenities, Wichita Falls is only about twenty miles southwest, so you can easily head in for work, groceries, or dining and still come home to peace and quiet.

Byers, Texas farmer Tommy Henderson inserts a soil pressure probe in his no till dryland wheat field to test how loose his soils are and for soil moisture. The full length of this two foot probe easily goes into the soil. (25091239596)
