Cambria, CA

Cambria is a coastal San Luis Obispo County community on Highway 1, roughly midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. It sits among Monterey pines in one of the few native forests of that kind, which gives the town a wooded, misty character distinct from many California beach places. Tourism is the main economy, with inns, galleries, the Cambria Historical Museum, nearby Moonstone Beach, and access to Hearst Castle up the coast. Cambria feels residential, scenic, and slightly removed from faster Central Coast growth.
