Cameron is a town in Moore County, North Carolina, United States. The 2020 census counted 244 residents. Cameron grew up around a plank road that was followed in later years by a railroad. The town was planned in 1875 and incorporated in 1876. The short version is that Cameron carries an earlier story into the places people know and use now.
