Canyon, TX

Canyon is the county seat of Randall County, south of Amarillo in the Texas Panhandle. It is home to the main campus of West Texas A&M University and the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum, one of the region's major cultural institutions. The city also sits near Palo Duro Canyon, which gives it an outdoor and scenic pull beyond its courthouse-town role.
