About Capitola
Capitola is a census-designated place in eastern Leon County, Florida, United States, located at County Road 1540 and County Road 1541. The 2020 census counted 247 residents. Capitola is part of the Tallahassee metropolitan area. Evergreen Hills Plantation, a large cotton plantation, occupied the land that is now or extremely close to Capitola. From 1908 through the 1940s Capitola was served by the Florida Central Railroad. Capitola is home to Baptist Church which was established in 1926.
