About Captain Cook
Captain Cook is a census-designated place in the South Kona District of Hawaiʻi County, Hawaiʻi. Named after the historic Captain Cook Coffee Company where the local post office was established in the early 1900s, the community of approximately 3,400 lies above Kealakekua Bay, where Captain James Cook landed in 1779. The neighborhood hosts the Kona Coffee Living History Farm and is served by the Hawaii Department of Education.
