Carey, OH

Carey is a welcoming village of around 3,500 residents in northwest Ohio's Wyandot County. Founded in the 1840s by railroad planners and named after a local judge, the town has deep roots and a unique heritage shaped partly by early Luxembourg settlers. Today, it is best known for the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, a striking historic landmark that draws visitors from across the country throughout the year.
