Carnegie is a compact borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, operating as a western suburb of Pittsburgh. Incorporated in 1894 and named after industrialist Andrew Carnegie, who donated the local library, the community of approximately 7,978 is served by the Carlynton School District for public primary and secondary education for local students.
