Caroleen, NC

Caroleen is a quiet community of about 500 residents tucked along the Second Broad River in Rutherford County. Founded in the late 1800s as a textile town and named for a mill owner's wife, it still retains the easygoing feel of a traditional Carolina mill village. Today, life here moves at a relaxed pace with plenty of small-town charm. U.S. 221 Alternate runs right through the center of town, making it easy to enjoy a quiet, affordable neighborhood while staying just minutes from shopping and dining in nearby Forest City.
