About Cashion

Cashion sits on the Kingfisher-Logan county line, a town whose story starts with wheat, railroads, and a name chosen for a fallen soldier. The rail lines arrived in 1900 and gave local grain a route to wider markets, while the town took its name from Roy Victor Cashion, killed at San Juan Hill. The Cimarron River lies just north of the original settlement. With Kingfisher to the west and Guthrie to the east, Cashion has the feel of an Oklahoma prairie town shaped by county lines and old rail connections.
