Castle Rock, WA

Castle Rock is a quiet, scenic small town tucked along the Cowlitz River in southwest Washington, right off Interstate 5. Best known as the western gateway to Mount St. Helens, the community of roughly 2,500 people sits beneath the towering volcanic outcrop that gave the town its name. Living here means having great outdoor recreation close to home, with Spirit Lake Memorial Highway leading straight up to camping, fishing at Silver Lake, and trails through the national volcanic monument.

Everyday life revolves around local schools, neighborhood shops, and community spots like the Cowlitz Riverfront Trail and bike skills park. Castle Rock offers a peaceful, close-knit environment, while neighboring Longview and Kelso are only fifteen minutes away for major healthcare, shopping, and job centers.
