About Cazenovia

Cazenovia is a village in Richland and Sauk Counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The 2020 census counted 363 residents. Of this, 343 were in Richland County, and only 20 were in Sauk County. A school shooting occurred at the village's Weston High School on September 29, 2006. John Klang, 49, principal of the school, was killed in the attack after a recently expelled 9th grader, Eric Hainstock, fired a handgun at him. Cazenovia's local map joins its older history to the places and landscapes that still shape the town today, all within the wider Wisconsin setting. The local scoop is how Cazenovia's history still shows up in the places people visit, work, learn, and meet.
