Cedar Springs is a city in Kent County, Michigan, situated twenty miles north of Grand Rapids. First settled by pioneer Robin Hicks in 1855 and officially platted in 1859 following the establishment of its first post office, the growing community of approximately 3,670 is served by the Cedar Springs Public Schools district for local public education locally.
