Centennial, WY

Nestled at the foot of the Medicine Bow Mountains about 27 miles west of Laramie, Centennial serves as the gateway to the Snowy Range. The community got its start in the late 1800s as a logging and gold mining hub along the railroad, but today it is best known for its outdoor lifestyle. Highway 130 runs right through town as the Snowy Range Scenic Byway, giving residents fast access to alpine hiking trails, fishing spots, snowmobile routes, and local ski slopes just up the mountain.

Daily life here is quiet, rustic, and close-knit. The town's restored 1907 depot now houses the Nici Self Historical Museum, anchoring a charming strip of local diners, cabins, and trading posts.
