About Center Point

Center Point is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Howard County, Arkansas. The settlement has a notable historical distinction: when Howard County was formed in 1873, Center Point served as its first county seat. After the first railroad in the county was built through Nashville, bypassing Center Point, the county seat was relocated to Nashville in 1884. The community was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 179.
