Central is a census-designated place in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska, located along the Steese Highway at an elevation of 942 feet. With a population of 66 at the 2020 census, the small interior settlement gains annual attention each February when it hosts a checkpoint for the Yukon Quest sled dog race, a long-distance competition between Fairbanks and Whitehorse. The community was previously served by a school of the Yukon Flats School District.
