Chackbay, LA

Chackbay is a quiet, rural community in northern Lafourche Parish, sitting about seven miles north of Thibodaux along Highway 20. With around 5,000 residents, it offers a peaceful, spread-out feel surrounded by south Louisiana wetlands. Most homes, churches, and local businesses are built along the main roads, giving the area plenty of country charm while keeping everyday shopping and dining in Thibodaux just a short drive away.
