Channahon, IL

Channahon is a Will and Grundy County village where rivers and canals do much of the storytelling. Archaeological evidence shows people living in the area thousands of years ago, and today the Illinois River, DuPage River, and Channahon State Park give the village a strong water-and-trails identity. It has also become a growing southwest Chicago-area community, with subdivisions, schools, and industrial corridors nearby. Channahon feels like a place where old waterways, prairie edges, and modern exurban growth all meet.
