Chelsea Cove, NY

Chelsea Cove is a Dutchess County census-designated place on the north side of Sylvan Lake in the western part of the Town of Beekman. The lake is the community's defining landmark: the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation describes a 112-acre waterbody with a county-road boat launch, fishing, and no gas motors. A community association manages the shared beachfront, playground, tennis courts, and portions of the roads. Chelsea Cove sits about 14 miles southeast of Poughkeepsie and 10 miles northeast of Fishkill, a small southern Dutchess County community organized around the lake, its shoreline, and its place inside Beekman's larger town map.
