About Chester

Chester is a historic township in Morris County, New Jersey, located in the Raritan Valley region. Historically settled in 1730 by the Rogerenes near the crossing of two Native American trails at Black River and completely surrounding Chester Borough, the community of approximately 1,512 is served by the West Morris Regional High School District for public education.
