Chevy Chase, MD (Town)

The Town of Chevy Chase sits right along the northwest edge of Washington, D.C., offering a quiet, storybook neighborhood feel just steps from the energy of downtown Bethesda. While several distinct communities share the Chevy Chase name across Montgomery County, the Town itself is almost entirely residential, filled with shaded sidewalks, historic single-family homes, and Chevy Chase Elementary right in the neighborhood. Living here gives you peaceful, tree-lined streets during the day, along with the convenience of walking into Bethesda in the evening for dinner, groceries, or the Metro.

Originally developed in the 1890s as one of the area's earliest streetcar suburbs, the community grew around easy transit links into the capital. That history shows in the neighborhood's walkable layout and picturesque architecture.
