About Chickasha

Chickasha is a city and the county seat of Grady County, Oklahoma, situated in the central portion of the state. Established in the late nineteenth century, the community of approximately 16,539 is home to the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, which was founded in 1908 as the Oklahoma Industrial Institute and College for Girls. Local recreation is centered around Shannon Springs Park, and public education is served by the Chickasha Public Schools.
