Chilton is a city and the county seat of Calumet County, Wisconsin, situated along the South Branch of the Manitowoc River. Founded in 1845 around a sawmill operated by African-American pioneer Moses Stanton, the historic industrial community had a population of 3,720 at the 2020 census and is served by the Chilton Public Schools locally.
