About Chippewa Falls
Chippewa Falls is a city on the Chippewa River and the county seat of Chippewa County, Wisconsin. Incorporated in 1869 and named after the Ojibwe people, the city of approximately 14,800 is the birthplace of supercomputer pioneer Seymour Cray. The community serves as a key commercial hub within the Eau Claire metropolitan area, hosting the annual Northern Wisconsin State Fair and featuring the historic, three-hundred-acre Irvine Park and Zoo.
