Chums Corner, MI

Located just a few miles south of Traverse City at the junction of US-31 and M-37, Chums Corner is a convenient spot for people who want quick access to town with a bit more breathing room. The area gets its memorable name from Deronda "Chum" Crandall, who opened a roadside gas station and grocery store here back in the 1930s. Today, it remains a handy crossroads community where locals can pick up groceries, tackle hardware runs, and take care of everyday errands.

Residents have a quick, straightforward drive straight north into downtown Traverse City, access to the Traverse City Area Public Schools district, and essential services right around the corner.
