City View, SC

Located just west of downtown Greenville, City View is a historic neighborhood shaped by the Upstate's textile heritage. Most of the community consists of modest single-family homes and early 20th-century mill cottages originally built for workers at the area's textile plants. Today, that history is easy to spot in landmarks like Monaghan Mill, a massive turn-of-the-century brick complex that has since been converted into modern loft apartments. Residents have access to sports fields and open green space at nearby Monaghan Park, as well as a quick commute into downtown Greenville and the West End arts district. It remains an approachable, quiet pocket with deep roots and easy access to the rest of the county.
