Claymont, DE

Claymont is a census-designated place in New Castle County, Delaware, situated in northeastern Brandywine Hundred along the Delaware River at the Pennsylvania border. The community of approximately 8,800 originated at the banks of Naamans Creek where it empties into the Delaware River and is home to several historic structures, including the Claymont Stone School. Public education is administered by the Brandywine School District.
