Cle Elum is a city in Kittitas County, Washington, located along the Yakima River near the mouth of the Cle Elum River. Situated eighty-four miles east of Seattle and historically inhabited by the Kittitas band of the Yakama tribe, the community of approximately 1,905 is served by the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District for local education.
