Cleora, OK

Spread along the northwest shore of Grand Lake o’ the Cherokees, Cleora is a quiet, scenic community in northeastern Oklahoma. Located along State Highway 85 between Bernice, Afton, and Vinita, it is home to around 1,200 residents. The area began as a small settlement back in the late 1800s, and while it has evolved into a popular spot for lake houses and rural properties, it still keeps a spread-out, easygoing pace of life.

Families are drawn to Cleora Public School, which serves as the heart of the community and features a unique 130-acre outdoor classroom with nature trails, a pavilion, and a pond deck. It makes a great landing spot for anyone looking for peaceful country living with Grand Lake right in the backyard.
