About Clinton

Clinton is a Kennebec County town whose main village sits on the north side of the Sebasticook River. The town was incorporated in 1795 and took the Clinton name, though local accounts disagree about which Clinton supplied it. It is also Maine's dairy capital, with seven farms producing a notable share of the state's milk, and Fedco Seeds is headquartered here. Clinton is central Maine in a river-and-farm shape, with I-95 and four state routes crossing the wider town.
