Clinton, TN

Located about twenty minutes north of Knoxville, Clinton offers a relaxed, small-town pace along the scenic Clinch River. With around 10,000 residents, it serves as the seat of Anderson County and gives newcomers an easy commute into the city while keeping daily life quiet at home. Historic downtown Clinton is especially known for its collection of antique shops along Market Street, just steps from the riverfront where Melton Hill Lake provides plenty of opportunities for boating, fishing, and paddling.

The town also holds an important place in civil rights history, documented at the Green McAdoo Cultural Center, which tells the story of the Clinton 12 and the 1956 desegregation of Clinton High School. For outdoor fun, residents head to Aspire Park, a large riverside green space with miles of hiking and biking trails, dog parks, playgrounds, and casual dining right on the water. Between its deep local roots and growing recreational spaces, Clinton makes a comfortable home base in East Tennessee.
