Cloverdale, CA

Cloverdale is the northernmost city in Sonoma County and one of the outer edges of the San Francisco Bay Area. It began as a stagecoach stop called Markleville on the Rancho Rincon de Musalacon Mexican grant, and its location still gives it a gateway feel between wine country and the northern Russian River corridor. Cloverdale is known for hotter, drier summers than much of Sonoma County, with local schools in the Cloverdale Unified School District.
