Coatesville is the sole city in Chester County, Pennsylvania, situated along U.S. Route 30 thirty-nine miles west of Philadelphia. Developed as a major steel-producing center along the Brandywine River, the community of approximately 13,400 is home to the National Iron and Steel Heritage Museum.
